Excerpts from responses to DameVulpes about my poem Oceans.
Often I'm struck about what we say when we write about what we've already written...
It was as many great things are, unplanned and unexpected. Just one of those bittersweet Life things that blossoms without warning and you bask in the glow of until it's suddenly gone.
All we get to keep of anyone are the lasting memories of our time. People have an odd way of focusing on the loss more than the sweetness, however fleeting, that was. I am not that way.
That is something I think a shame and fraud among humans... how often

no worries, I know what it's like to be broke... or at least to look at an upgraded DeviantArt acct as luxury you can't justify. It looked like you were off to a slow start on donations. Sometimes it just takes somebody to start it to break the ice. Even if you get 23 more people to contribute what little I did, you'll be set. Keep with your writing and enjoy yourself. It is rewarding to create something that is appreciated by others. It is a great opportunity to reach out to others through your words... to find others that "get it", understanding what you were trying to say or what you were feeling when you wrote it. People here will even see things in your work that you didn't even think of, and give you insights into other interpretations that may even inspire you in other directions. I just escaped a bad situation in my life, like a black hole of negativity that was sucking the life out of me... My writing was my only outlet to help maintain my sanity, or to embrace some of the old me that's been missing for too long.
Hey there :3 Just wondering how you've been, what you've been up to, all that fun stuff. I haven't heard from you in a while and you were starting a new chapter of your life, so here's hoping you're busy in a good way!
Believe it or not... starting that new chapter in my life took almost another year. Started to think I wouldn't make it out alive... or at least not with much of the spark left that I started out with. Just taking in the moments and breathing in life again, seeing where that leads me.

Hey, you're back! You've been awfully quiet on here lately, I was wondering where you got to! Glad to see you back :3
I've been here and about... trying to get some things changed in my life right now, but outside forces seem to be pitted against me. Had a change of work schedule and it's thrown everything off. Not as much writing time as I'd like. Working on a few different things, but those seem to have come to points where I need to wait for revelation/inspiration to guide me a bit on what direction to go with them. I'm trying to be patient and not put out something half-baked and poorly executed. Working on 2 short stories but as I work them everything evolves in different directions and needs reworking.
